<Biometric Facial Recognition for Time and Attendance or Access Control>

Biometric Facial Recognition Unit (647-80)

Overview

The 647-80 Fingerprint and Facial Recognition system is ideal for Access Control and T&A applications.
The unit can identify the user by fingerprint, face or face + fingerprint. Multiple fingerprints per employee can be learnt so that, in the event of an injury to one finger, access can still be gained by the use of other fingers.

The 647-80 can operate as a simple Stand-Alone unit which will allow unrestricted access to valid users and is primarly intended for T&A applications.

For access control, the unit connects to a ProxNet using a 649-10 interface or ProxnetPro using a 822-10 interface.
The system has two high resolution cameras for improved facial recognition and an infra-red illumination system that enables user identification even in a dark environment.

The 647-89 features a 630MHz high speed processor and large capacity memory for the storage of templets and transactions.
The unit has a colour touch screen that provides the interface for system configuration and the enrolloing of
fingerprint / facial templets. The display also prompts the user to correctly position their face and indicates when
the face is indentified.

For Stand-Alone applications the unit has a relay for operating a door strike and has provision for an Exit
pushbutton. In Proxnet and ProxnetPro systems these functions are provided by the interface.
The unit also has a relay which can be wired to ring a bell for T&A applications. A single 647-80 can be connected to a
PC via RS-232 (max. 30 metres). Multiple units can be connected using either TCP/IP (maximum 254 units) or RS-485 (maximum 16 units).
Note that RS-485 requires the use of a 311-50 RS-232/485 interface.

Simple PC software allows backing-up of templates. The saved templates can be restored to the original unit and also uploaded to other
units connected to the PC. The software is also used to download clocking records for processing in MP-Lite or TimeMaster.
USB ports are also provided allowing data exchange between units using a Flash Drive and for downloading
transaction data in a text format.

The system is supplied with a 220VAC power adaptor for powering the unit. A door strike and bell will require an
external powersupply.
