PIN-Lock Standalone Access Control Keypad (180-10)

Overview

The 180-10, 180-20 & 180-40 keypads provide simple yet flexible access control of a single door.

The “out of the box” default settings make installation and operation simple. For more complex requirements, the unit has a set of programming functions that make the keypad highly configurable.

Each PIN can be configured to operate any combination of the 3 outputs, allowing different people to control different functions. Outputs can be programmed to operate as a Switch (for the door strike), CCTV trigger (operates as soon as any key is pressed) or Alarm (tamper, forced door, door left open and lockout). Outputs can be set to toggle or pulse.

The programmable Lockout function disables the keypad after a number of successive wrong PINs to prevent hacking of the keypad. An Inhibit input can be used to disable selected users whenever the Inhibit input is low.

The 180-20 & 180-40 keypads are more advanced and have a real-time clock, memory to log transactions and a serial port for connection to a computer. Programming and logging of activities can be done with the PIN-Lock software. These models also allows individual PINs to have a date or count expiry making them ideal for any application limiting the number or period of access. Whereas the 180-20 has a RS-232 output allowing a single unit to connect to the PC, the 180-40 has an RS-485 interface that allows up to 64 units to be “daisy-chained” on a single cable not exceeding 1000m.
