KeyProx Proximity Access Control (650-XX)

KeyProx is a standalone access control system offering a wide range of features that allows it to be used in both simple applications and in more complex and secure configurations.

The system consists of a secure control unit and up to two Proximity readers with or without keypads. All features can be programmed via the keypad on the reader. Optional software allows programming and data retrieval via the RS-232 port on the controller.

To control access, cards are assigned a Security Schedule which is made up of Time Zones, Security Levels and days of the week. The system provides for 8 Security Schedules and each day of the week is split into 5 Time Zones. Provision is also made for Public Holidays.

Security Levels allow for varying security needs at different times of the day and the system provides for 7 Security Levels; PIN only, Card only, Card+PIN, Double Card, Double PIN, Double Card+PIN & Access Denied.

Additional convenience is provided by a Door Schedule which allows the door to operate in Normal mode (normal access control), Locked mode (all access denied) and Unlocked mode (door is unlocked - no access control). The Door Schedule uses the same structure as the Security Schedule.

The controller unit has two relays. This enables the system to be installed in following configurations:

A single door controller with keypad reader on either side of the door.
The unused relay is then used as an alarm output.
A two door controller with one reader per door.
The second relay is then used to control the second door. ( In this mode a transistor drive for an external relay provides alarm output.)
Transactions with date and time stamp are stored on the control unit and can be downloaded to the PC for reporting purposes.

Any date may be set as a holiday in effect giving 365 dates for Holiday Access.

A Door Schedule allows doors to be Locked, Unlocked or Normal.
Daylight Saving Time.
PIN code length 1 to 6 digits.
Timed Lockout after 3 wrong PIN codes.
All programming via keypad. - Optional PC Link allows programming from PC.
Addition and deletion by tag number or by Memory Location Number.
Cards may be deleted with the ProxLock Tag Simulator unit.
Readers may be up to 100 meters from the Control Unit.
Universal Duress Code allows access with alarm event.
Forced door and door left open generate alarm event.
Highly configurable door relay times accommodates all lock types.
External alarm input.
Remote Readheads can be connected to the Keypad Readers.
All data stored in nonvolatile memory - 10 year data retention without power
