<Single Door Standalone Proximity Systems (Card Readers)>
ProxLock Proximity Access Control - 120-2000 user system (630-XX)
General Description
The ProxLock (PSR-630) is a low cost stand-alone programmable access control system based on the GSC proximity tags and cards.
The read-head, electronics, memory and relay circuitry are contained in a robust plastic housing allowing for simple & quick installation.
The minimum connection just requires 12V AC or DC and a door strike.
The standard unit can store the codes of 120 unique tags. Optionally, units can be provided to store up to 2000 tag codes.
Editing modes for adding and deleting tags is done by simple use of a Master Tag. An optional "Tag Simulator" allows for removing "lost" cards from the system.
The unit may also be programmed for Pulse mode (the relay operates for a pre-set time for each valid tag read) or Toggle mode (the relay state changes for each valid tag read).
An optional remote weatherproofed read-head may be connected to the ProxLock. This makes a secure and weatherproof system by allowing the control electronics and relay to be mounted in a dry, secure area away from the read-head coil.

ProxLock Operation
Programming
The first tag presented to the reader will be stored in its memory and designated as the Master Tag. The Master Tag allows for programming of the following functions :
>>Add Tags
Every tag that is presented to the reader in the ADD state will be stored in the system memory and allowed access.
>>Delete Tags
When in the DELETE state all tags presented to the reader will be deleted from memory.
>>Clear Memory
The Master Tag allows erasure of all programmed data to reset the reader to the factory setting.
>>Time Adjust (Strike time)
This function sets the time the relay operates when a valid tag is read or the exit push button is pressed. The relay can be set to operate for any length of time between 0.25 to 12 seconds.
>>Relay Operation (Pulse Mode and Toggle Mode)
The relay on board can operate in Pulse Mode (suitable for access control applications) or Toggle Mode (suitable for arming/disarming alarms, switching lights, machines, etc.).
Every time a valid proximity tag is read in Pulse Mode, the Green lamp will go on and the relay will operate, for the pre-set Relay Pulse time.
Every time a valid proximity tag is read in Toggle Mode, the relay changes state. The RED lamp will be on when the relay is OFF and the GREEN lamp will be on when the relay is ON.
Remote Read Head
The optional Remote Read Head is suitable for installations where a read head is required both sides of the access point or where the read head needs to be installed outside. It operates as a second reader point when connected to the ProxLock. The read head is vandal proof and can cope with extreme weather conditions. It is rated at IP 66.
Programming of tags/cards can be performed at either the ProxLock reader or at the Remote Read Head. For programming and operating purpose the Remote Read Head has red and green LED indication.
The unit is ideally installed close to the ProxLock and is supplied with a 1 meter cable. With a reduction in the tag reading range the remote read head will operate up to 10 meters from the ProxLock. The Remote Read Head size is: 120 L x 54 W x 20 H mm.
ProxLock Weatherproofing
A range of waterproof PVC housings (rated IP66) is available for installing ProxLock externally. Please consult your dealer for more information.
Tag Simulator (Optional)
The Tag Simulator is an extremely simple "Programming Device" that allows adding and deleting proximity card/tag numbers from the reader memory when the tag is lost or not available.
One Tag Simulator can be utilised at different sites - but for security reasons it will operate only in conjunction with the Master Tag.
